Jackaroo & Bug

Jackaroo & Bug was created by mother of two Hannah.

I originally started out studying Occupational Therapy in Oxford before moving to London and taking a career change, ending up working as a Project Manager at Google. After 11 years in London I moved down to West Berkshire with my young family and in between looking after my children and 2 dogs started to revisit my creative side something that had lain dormant since A-levels (umm.......more than a decade ago!).

After painting for 2 years selling paintings Internationally and undertaking a number of commission Jackaroo & Bug was formed.

The inspiration to create a range of childrens tableware came about when I was looking to move my children from melamine to china. I realised there was little out there that was distinctive, modern, timeless with designs that would still be relevant as my children grew.
The designs are created to bring theatre, adventure and joy to everyday living. Designs that are classic with a modern look while remaining family friendly for everyday use: they are dishwasher and microwave safe.

I pride myself on the highest quality products with exceptional attention to detail and finish. Only selling beautiful things that I would absolutely love to own myself and more importantly my children.

Jackaroo & Bug currently features 4 themes all hand drawn by me and turned into beautiful plates, bowls and mugs in Stoke-on-Trent: all UK made.

A featured in The Sunday Telegraph and Condé Nast Traveler.
